Curious World: Games for Kids App Reviews

My sons loves this app, so I decided to surprise him with the paid version for a road trip. Beware-this doesnt work without an Internet connection! Im so frustrated!! That should be super clear somewhere.

Gave the impression it tailored content to the age of my child. Nothing of the sort occurs. Its just a free for all enough that my son avoids the games because he thinks he cant play them. Also there should be an option to check subscription through cell network but allow you to download the content. We mainly use this in the car and its driving my data rate too high due only to our commute.

The company recently locked some pancake game and another food game that my daughter played for a couple months for non subscribers. 100% bait and switch. I dont have the money to shell out $80/yr on this app and I dont think most families do so Im not subscribing. Theres no way your decision makers dont understand that when you switch the locked games in the app without a subscription, kids will cry... Its pretty simple. We deleted the app now. Not subscribing and now I respect PBS much less. Im sure Im not alone so it looks like youre just losing brand loyalty by making this choice. Hopefully the feedback helps for next time. Thanks,

Downloading this free app only gives you 7 days "free" then you either pay $7.99 a month or $64.99 a year. That isnt free Houghlin Mifflin, that is a trial phase. If you cant be upfront about that what else are doing? I have red flags and now find you shady.

This app is full of bugs. You cannot even logon after you sign up for subscription.

My now 5 1/2 yr old son is a huge Curious George fan so I bought this app, as I wanted him playing with educational apps instead of searching YouTube for toy videos constantly! This app keeps his attention even months later. I joined the company that makes it, after buying it, have been amazed by how much great original material is in it - my son likes the videos & many you cant find anywhere else. Plus its great value for all the books & games that come with it.

The latest version wont allow the app to open. My daughter loves this app. Fix soon please

Seems like mostly short videos... A few low quality games... The sound was even distorted on one game. And some sections didnt even load. Plus the app forces you to sign up for a subscription before you can begin your free trial. Then you have to figure out how to turn off your auto-renewal so you dont get charge for a so-so app you would have never purchased if you could have checked out first. They should spend their $ on making a better app instead on advertising it .

We werent sure if the subscription would be worth it but figured itll be cheaper than buying a couple of curious george books. My daughter loves the videos and the books are great because it reads to you

My child loves everything curious George. She also likes learning things too. However when I downloaded this app, there was a curious George birthday game. That game is no longer available. I was considering signing up for the whole thing, as its entertaining for my child but the game she loved is gone. Guess I will find a different George app for her.

My 4-yr old daughter loves this app. Shes always asking for my iPhone or iPad when were out to dinner or in the car and this app offers a ton of great learning games, videos and books to keep her engaged! And I feel good about her using it since it is educational and ad-free. Love the new features!

Is a good curious

Nice idea but selection is very limited and for the past few days Ive been receiving the error "oops there is an update going on at the moment..." for every book and for half the games I try to play with my daughter. It even gives me that message when I try to go into parent controls and click on "restore" and parent dashboard just loads a blank screen. Some serious issues here have to be fixed. As it stands I feel ripped off after having just paid for a year. No customer support either.
